The program admits 20-30 juniors each year, handpicked according to their aptitude and interest

Application Process

Students must meet the following requirements to be considered for participation in the Financial Leadership Program:
  • Full-time student taking minimum of 12 credits
  • Graduation year of 2021
  • A minimum of a 3.5 GPA* with full-time student status
  • Maintain a minimum B+ in all math/finance courses
  • Strong interest in Finance careers
  • Ability and willingness to:
    • Dedicate an extra 15 hours per week
    • Initiate cold calls for networking opportunities
    • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Possess superb quantitative and analytical skills
    • Approach and communicate with senior professionals
    • Manage and balance school, work, home and FLP
    • Comply with all FLP policies
    • “Walk through a wall” if necessary
    • Outstanding leadership potential
    • Passion for finance and motivation to succeed in a finance career
    • Evidence strong commitment to community service and/or campus leadership activities
*Transfer students must have attended Baruch College for at least one semester with a minimum Baruch GPA of 3.5 to be considered. Grades from previous institutions will not be accepted. If this is your first semester at Baruch, you may apply to the Program with the understanding that your admission will be contingent upon your GPA at the end of your current semester. All students accepted into the Program must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA for the semester and cumulative average in order to graduate from the Program.

  • Ensure that you upload all of the required documents cited in the application
  • Follow the instructions and steps of the application for submission NO LATER than March 17, 2019, 11:59PM
  • Candidates who apply before March 5, 2019 will be invited to a special Round Table discussion March 5, 2019
  • Potential candidates will be invited to the first level of the selection process
  • Final decisions will be announced after grades for the Spring semester have been reported
