Event Description:


NEW YORK, NY-September 7, 2012 – Baruch College invites you to join faculty, staff and students to witness the political excitement and watch the televised 2012 U.S. Presidential and Vice Presidential Debates on campus.

The School of Public Affairs will present pre- and post-debate discussions by Baruch’s political experts, who will share their views on debate content and candidates’ performances. Baruch experts include: David Birdsell, Dean of the School of Public Affairs; Doug Muzzio, Professor of Public Affairs; Don Waisanen, Assistant Professor of Communication; Micheline Blum, Distinguished Lecturer and Director of Baruch College Survey Research; Hector Cordero-Guzman, Professor of Public Affairs; Eric Gander, Associate Professor of Public Argument; and David Hoffman, Associate Professor of Communication Studies.

Media have an opportunity to interview Baruch’s experts, students and members of the audience to get reaction and points of view about the U.S. Presidential election. Doors open at 8:15 p.m. with a Pre-Debate discussion at 8:30 p.m. Debate viewings begin at 9 p.m. (ET) and will be located on the Baruch Campus at One Bernard Baruch Way (55 Lexington Avenue at 24th Street), New York.
