Event Description:



Christopher Mackay is Professor of Classical Language and History at the University of Alberta in Canada.  He received his PhD from Harvard University.  He has written numerous books on Ancient Rome, including, most recently, 
Breakdown of the Roman Republic:  From Oligarchy to Empire. (Cambridge University Press, 2012).  His free lecture, open to the public, addresses questions related to the fall of the Roman Republic.
