Event Description:
Part of a two-part film series and discussion about climate change and its role as a destabilizing force threatening our health and undermining our global economy. Presented by the Baruch College Task Force on Sustainability, the Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity and the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences.

A sneak preview of “Extreme Realities” a new episode in the award-winning PBS series Journey to Planet Earth.

Featuring narrator Matt Damon, this episode of “Journey to Planet Earth” investigates one of the most critical issues of our time: the link between severe weather events, global warming, and threats to our national security.
It will air on PBS on December 15th.

The 52 minute documentary is produced by Emmy-Award winning Baruch alums, Hal Weiner and his wife, Marilyn, who will participate in a post-screening panel discussion and reception, along one or two experts featured in the episode: Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Thomas Friedman, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, former CIA Director James Woolsey, environmental visionary Lester Brown, and Oxfam Vice President Paul O'Brien.
