All Day NCCP9030 - The Future of Blueprint Reading (Multi-Day Event)
The word "blueprint" makes us think of white line drawings on a deep blue background showing beautiful old buildings, or ships, or historic city plans. This introductory course visits the development of blueprints within the construction industry, and shows the student what to expect in a contemporary construction drawing set, and how to understand scale and symbols in drawings. There is hands-on experience with drawing simple scaled drawings. The later lessons in this course review the place of CADD and more advanced 3-D and intelligent building modeling as "blueprints" morph in the world of e-technology.

Four-time RTE All Ireland Drama winners Kilmeen Drama Group will take their multi-award winning production of The Playboy of the Western World by J. M. Synge to the United States, in October. The10 day tour which was launched on Saturday night, August 9th at the County Cork B. P. & P. Association of New York 20th Reunion Banquet at Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork is supported by Kerrygold and will run from Thursday, October 23rd to Saturday, November 1st and will include the following performances. 


The play is set in a rural shebeen on the coast of Co. Mayo, where Margaret Flaherty, or Pegeen Mike as she’s known locally, is preparing for her arranged marriage to local farmer Shawn Keogh. But these plans are scuppered by the arrival of Christy Mahon, a curious stranger telling tales of a brave and frightening deed. As word spreads of Christy’s story, it grabs the attention of the local women, but while Christy is enjoying his newfound fame his celebrity status is short lived, with the arrival of another walking stranger.
