This workshop is for all Baruch students who are preparing for the job market!

Tools for Clear Speech presents Clear, Confident Interviews: What You Need to Know (Part I of II). In this workshop, participants will discuss the basics of clear, professional communication expected of them during an interview. Students will discuss and practice topics such as clearly pronouncing their name, interests and school, using small talk, and calming their nerves. Participants will also participate in mock interviews for better perspective. This workshop is a must for non-native English speakers searching for internships or full-time employment.

Topics Covered:

  • Introductions, Names, and Professional Titles
  • How to make appropriate small talk
  • Eye Contact, Handshakes, Behavior, etc.
  • Pronunciation of School, Major, Experience, Interests
  • Mock Interviews
