About the Program

Is bitcoin a good hedge against inflation? What is the bitcoin halving event and how does this affect bitcoin's price? Join our virtual fireside chat with Charles Hwang via Zoom. Charles will discuss how the current pandemic could accelerate the adoption of bitcoin, why bitcoin is still not dead, and what types of disruption may be primed to hit the financial system.

About the Speaker

Charles Hwang (MS ’15) is the Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager of Lightning Capital.  Before founding the hedge fund, Mr. Hwang was a valuation consultant and a forensic accountant at Ernst & Young LLP.  Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Equity Trader since May 2000 where he successfully capitalized on both the dot com bust and the financial crisis. Over the past five years, Mr. Hwang has been heavily involved within the cryptoasset communities. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Baruch College teaching a course on blockchain and cryptoassets. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Public Accountant.
