Event Description: Marxe Issues "Democracy in Peril: Defending Our Voting Rights". Join us for a vibrant discussion. The distinguished panel includes: Susan Lerner, president of Common Cause NY; Melissa Mark-Viverito, senior advisor Latino Victory and former Speaker of the NY City Council; Ezra Rosenberg, Co-Director of the "Voting Rights Project" for the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and Professor Douglas Muzzio of the Austin Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, specializing in American voting behavior, city politics and the founder and chief pollster at Baruch Survey Research. Marxe Dean, David Birdsell will moderate the program. Voter registration forms will be available if you have not already registered to vote in the NY Primary. |
