Resilience: A New Framework for Nonprofit Management
The turbulence of recent decades has demonstrated the
fragility of nonprofit organizations, especially in periods
of crisis such as the COVID pandemic. Prevailing
management, regulatory, and financial practices
have contributed to their vulnerability. A new
paradigm of management practice based on
building resilience and navigating crises is needed
to ensure nonprofits' future viability and effectiveness.
This presentation will discuss the dimensions of this new
paradigm, based on a new book by the presenters,
Resilience and the Management of Nonprofit
Organizations (Edward Elgar, 2022).
