Baruch Performing Arts Center presents a reading of the French dramatist Jean Anouilh’s 1943 adaptation of Antigone by Sophocles, with a professional cast, directed by Christopher Scott.


Director Chris Scott has been in the in the NYC theatre industry for over 20 years and is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory.  He is experienced in all types of theatre and acting styles. He is equally comfortable with realistic dramas, classical, Shakespeare, musical theatre, absurdist, and non-linear motifs specializing in creating thematic theatre pieces using original writings in combination with existing material. His vast experience as an actor, including his association with Michael Howard, makes him especially sensitive to the quality of the actors work and knows how the actor’s best work is essential to the overall product. Gifted visualization and artistic sensibilities adds to the overall esthetics and cohesiveness of his story telling abilities. He is at home equally with high-tech productions as well as actor-driven vehicles and always welcomes a staging challenge. For more information on the reading’s director Chris Scott, please visit
