Baruch College Ranked #2 for "Environment" by the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education
High Marks for Student and Faculty Diversity
NEW YORK, NY - October 6, 2016 - Baruch College is ranked #2 in Environment among top 500 institutions by the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Ranking 2017.
Under the “Environment” pillar, Baruch College scored in the following categories:
- Student Diversity: 96.2
- Faculty Diversity: 85.4
- Student Inclusion: 86.4
- International Students: 94.9
Baruch also ranked #6, nationally, among more than 1,000 schools under “Environment.”
The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Ranking is a new ranking of universities and colleges. Developed in partnership with U.S. experts and universities, it reports adopting a “balanced scorecard approach.” They use 15 individual performance metrics, grouped into four pillars representing Resources (30%), Engagement (20%), Outcomes (40%) and Environment (10%).
Data sources include the Times Higher Education (THE) U.S. Student Survey, and THE Academic Reputation Survey, along with public data from IPEDs and the College Scorecard on areas including completion rates, graduate employment and loan repayments. Data for purchasing power adjustments is drawn from BEA.
