Charles B. Rangel Graduate Fellowship in International Affairs
The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship Program seeks to attract and educate outstanding young people who desire careers as diplomats in the U.S. Foreign Service. Funded by the U.S. Department of State and managed by the Ralph J. Bunche International Affairs Center at Howard University, these fellowships prepare students to enter exciting and rewarding careers in public service as Foreign Service Officers. The Rangel Program encourages the involvement of members of minority groups and those with financial need.
- Applicants must be American citizens
- Have cumulative GPA 3.2 or higher
- Must be preparing to enter graduate school in fall semester following graduation from undergraduate school. Awardees may be in their senior year of college or may have recently graduated from college and be engaged in a relevant career.
Students receive up to $90,000 toward tuition, room, board, books and mandatory fees for completion of two-year master’s degree in international affairs or other relevant area to the work of the Foreign Services at a graduate or professional school approved by the Rangel program.
