María Mercedes Andrade

Professor María M. Andrade has a joint appointment in Modern Languages and Comparative Literature and Black and Hispanic Studies. Her research focuses on Latin American literature from the nineteenth and twentieth century. She has published a book and various articles on Colombian literature, women’s writing, and experimental literature. She is currently working on a book-length manuscript on modernization in Colombia, as seen through literary texts.
