Major
A major in Sociology has the following components:
- Introductory course: SOC 1005 or ANT 1001
- Foundation courses:
- SOC/ANT 4100: Sociological Theory and
- SOC 4110: Research Methods in Sociology and Anthropology
- Electives: 18 Credits at the 3000-level or above
60% of the courses in your major must be taken at Baruch College.
Minor
A Tier III minor includes:
- Introductory course: SOC 1005 or ANT 1001
- Electives: 6 Credits at the 3000-level or above
- Capstone: SOC 4900: Sociological Analysis
