Business Communication
As an Interdisciplinary Major
The business communication field is essentially interdisciplinary, and this program integrates courses from several departments in Weissman School of Arts and Sciences and the Zicklin School of Business. The business communication interdisciplinary major can be achieved in three ways, by specializing in one of the following:
Corporate Communication: The Corporate Communication specialization prepares students for careers as communication specialists in business, industry, government and nonprofit organizations in such fields as media relations, investor relations, corporate advertising, and employee communication.
Graphic Communication: The graphic communication specialization provides training in graphics, as well as basic training in the broader aspects of business communication. It prepares the graphic artist to enter a business environment.
Business Writing : For the student who is interested in combining journalism with preparation in business administration.

Students may complete a Tier III Minor in Communication Studies by taking two COM courses at the 3000 level and COM 4900.
