Spring 2017 Writing Fellow

 

Wendy Xu is the author of Phrasis (Fence, 2017), winner of the Ottoline Prize, and You Are Not Dead (CSU Poetry Center, 2013), profiled by Poets & Writers Magazine as one of the year's best debuts. Her work has appeared widely in publications including The Best American Poetry 2013, Boston Review, Poetry, A Public Space, Gulf Coast, and elsewhere. The recipient of a Ruth Lilly Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation, Xu has been on faculty at New York University, the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Columbia University, and The New School. She is Poetry Editor for Hyperallergic.

The Spring 2017 Writing Workshop with poet Wendy Xu took place on Thursday, April 6th. Those who attended heard Wendy discuss and share her own work and were prompted to create and share poetry within the workshop. Wendy gave great feedback to the nearly 20 people in attendance!
