Professor Riley Helps Fed Think Through Disability Market

Charles A. Riley II, professor of English, was invited to participate in the Federal Reserve Bank's think tank on "The Disability Market as an Economic Driver," held in Washington February 2-3.

Riley joined officials from the Fed, HUD, and the Pentagon, investment bankers, corporate leaders, community development experts, NGO representatives and advocates in a ground-breaking event dedicated to legislative and investment opportunities designed to benefit people with disabilities. Riley contributed one of the seven discussion papers that will eventually be published by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. In addition to writing Disability and Business (University Press of New England, 2006), Riley teaches a popular capstone course in the journalism department on Politics and Policy in the Business Press.
