Join the students and faculty of the journalism department in celebrating Dollars & Senses first year as an online, interactive magazine. Watch and listen as two distinguished photojournalists and a videographer present and discuss their work.
Timothy Fadek has worked in more than 25 countries, including war coverage in Iraq, Lebanon, Kosovo, Macedonia, Israel and the Palestinian Territories, the civil uprising in Haiti, and the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. His photographic reporting has been published in hundreds of magazines worldwide and has been exhibited in major galleries. He was named a "Hero of Photography" by American Photo magazine in 2007.
Kim came to the United States from South Korea at age 10. She has covered conflicts and in-depth issue-driven stories all over the world. She graduated from Boston University in 1984, began her professional career at the Quincy Patriot-Ledger and was on the staff of The Boston Globe for seven years.
Fox is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and journalist, best known for creating multimedia stories that combine video with interactive elements. He received an Emmy in 2006 for his coverage of Hurricane Katrina, and has since produced work in Darfur, China during the 2008 earthquake and Haiti. Fox graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism and lives in New York.
