i Magazine editorial staff

Harbani Ahuja is a freshman majoring in Finance. She was a writer and editor on her high school’s first literary magazine team, and she loves to read poetry and short stories. She also loves to write in her free time and has been writing poetry since she was six. Harbani is currently working on a short story that she hopes to get published one day, along with her poetry (preferably in something a little more prestigious than the children’s writing section of the Staten Island Advance, where her first poem, “Spring,” was featured). Harbani is looking forward to reading some great work and is very excited to be part of i Magazine.

Kylie Chan - After having great experiences in participating in past literary magazines, Kylie Chan continues on with Baruch’s i Magazine. When she’s not having chronic writer’s block or being burdened with an abundance of novels and essays that she has to catch up on for class, she’s either sprouting figments of her imagination, track-changing papers, or sleeping.

Darryl Gladstone - Shy yet aggressive. Although the two adjectives are surely a paradox, that's what best describes Darryl Gladstone. Darryl, whose emotive alter ego is best reflected through his writing, is a second-year student who aspires to be a magazine journalist. Adoring writers from magazines like GQ, Details, and The New Yorker, Darryl joined the i Magazine editorial staff in hopes of getting a feel for the ever-developing writing world. Although he began his Baruch career as an accounting major, the writing world has always been a strong passion of his. Despite his lack of experience in the field, prior to i Magazine, he feels very confident that his time with i Magazine will help open other doors that will help him further prepare for his dream career. He hopes that he will have a large impact on Baruch's first online literary magazine and ultimately a huge effect on the journalism world.

Helen Kwok is excited to be on the staff of i Magazine. She is currently a sophomore in Baruch’s honors program majoring in corporate communication. Helen enjoys writing and reading good writing in her spare time. Although her literary roots are in creative writing, she has also ventured into journalism, serving as Editor-in-Chief of CSPA Gold Standard publication the Science Survey. Aside from writing Helen enjoys knitting and performing as an aerial acrobat with a recreational circus. She continues her pursuit of eloquence in earnest.

Chaeun Park is a senior interested in both reading and engaging in creative writing. She enjoys fiction and poetry and is excited to be a part of i Magazine.

DJ Dolack is an Adjunct Lecturer at Baruch and a Senior Consultant at the Writing Center. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College, and a BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College. He is the founding editor or Eye For An Iris Press, an independent publisher of hand-made literary chapbooks. His most recent published work can be found in Handsome Magazine, fou, Coldfront Magazine, Octopus Magazine, and Diode. He lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Keri Bertino, acting Director of the Writing Center, comes to Baruch from Columbia University's MFA program in fiction writing. She is at work on a novel about travel plazas, funeralcasts, and a marriage caught in between.
