Due to essential work on the fire alarm system in the College's main
computer room, the campus network and all local Baruch College systems
will be unavailable on Friday, June 26. That day is the first summer
Friday on which the campus is closed, which will reduce the impact of
the down time. On that day there will be no access to faculty/staff
e-mail, Baruch College web pages, Degreeworks from on site or off site.
Anyone who is on campus that day will not have access to any computing
services. However, from off campus there will be access to systems that
are hosted outside our campus such as Blackboard, eSIMS, BOSS, and
student e-mail. If you need to know the scheduled availability of any
system on June 26, please contact the help desk (x1010) in advance.
Baruch College Hosts NYC Alumni Career Fair on June 4th
The NYC Alumni Career Fair sponsored by MyWorkster, will be held in the Newman Vertical Campus, Athletic & Recreation Center on June 4th at Baruch College. Nearly eighty companies will be present, offering jobs in finance, government, retail, and more! Baruch College will be one out of twenty-five colleges participating in the fair, so alumni must register ASAP as reservations are limited. Cost of entry is $10 for an hour and forty-five minute session. (1:00 - 2:45pm or 3:15 - 5pm)

“Kilowatts to Cash,” is a free, half-day seminar for NYC property owners who want to cut energy costs. Speakers from state and city government, NGOs, the private sector, and ConEd will take a hardheaded, “green-eyeshades” look at looming compliance issues, the financial resources that NYC property owners can tap for energy efficiency projects, and the benefits they can reap.

Night Sky: A Play by Susan Yankowitz
Night Sky is a new play is about a brilliant astronomer Anna who is struck by a car and loses her ability to speak. In place of conventional speech, she expresses herself in a in a rich new language – a little-known condition called ‘aphasia.’ A drama of the resilience of the human spirit in crisis, as a woman and her life's work are put to a powerful test. Participants will learn basic skills for creating, editing, formatting and printing worksheets. An introduction to formulas, functions and using the chart wizard also will be covered, as well as a brief introduction to Excel 2007.

Expanding on the basic skills, this workshop will give participants the ability to rotate chart text, plot data, work with objects, and sort and protect data. Equivalent working knowledge of the basic level course required.)
