Baruch College Mourns the Passing of Eli Mason (’40)
The Baruch College community notes with deepest sorrow the passing of Eli Mason ’40, Trustee Emeritus. Eli Mason was held in the highest esteem by all who had the good fortune to know him. His generosity was matched only by his modesty and his tireless work on behalf of his alma mater. We extend our deepest sympathy to Claire, his wife and partner in philanthropy for 67 years, his daughters Judith Ann and Nina Felice, his grandchildren and his countless friends and admirers. The Princeton Review Names Baruch One of Best 371 Colleges
The Princeton Review has once again named Baruch College one of the best in America, according to their just-released survey of “The Best 371 Colleges – 2010 Edition.” The popular guide, widely used by parents and high school students, represents only about 15% of the country’s 2,500 4-year colleges and inclusion is prestigious. The Review cites Baruch for its rigorous academics, the “beautiful” Newman Vertical Campus, and “hardworking” students. This is the second year in a row have achieved this distinction.

Newman Library Now Open Fridays and Saturdays
In response to student requests for additional summer library hours the Newman Library will be open on Fridays and Saturdays for the remainder of the College’s summer session. The library’s hours through August 13 will be Monday - Saturday 7:00 a.m. to midnight. The hours of operation of the service desks in the library are posted on the library hours web page.
Campus Construction Notice
Preventive maintenance is required on the façade of the Information and Technology Building, 151 East 25th Street. A protective platform has been erected over the 25th Street sidewalk. The required work is expected to be completed before the end of the summer at which time the platform will be removed.
