
Creative Campus Project Information Now Available Online
“Performing Diasporas: Identities in Motion,” a collaborative, campus-wide project and Baruch’s semi-finalist entry in the Creative Campus Innovation Grants competition is now online. The project brings together nationally known artists and multiple internal partners to integrate BPAC and the performing arts more deeply into the curriculum and life of the College. Last Chance to Help Baruch Reach the Top 10 in the Pepsi Challenge!
The Baruch Task Force on Sustainability has entered the Pepsi Challenge, a competition where organizations submit proposals for community improvement projects, with a proposal to implement a college-wide recycling program. Pepsi will fund ten projects with the most votes in each category at the end of April. Please place your vote for Baruch at www.refresheverything.com/baruchrecycles and encourage others to do the same! You can vote once a day at both the Pepsi site and the Pepsi Challenge Facebook page through tomorrow, April 30th.
CUNY General Education Conference Taking Place Next Week
The 6th annual CUNY General Education Conference will be taking place on Friday, May 7th at Kingsborough Community College. The competencies and requirements of General Education affect nearly every aspect of the academic mission that spans Baruch College's three schools, and the panels at the conference (with two presentations by colleagues from the Zicklin School) will present innovative new work and revisit ongoing debates in compelling new ways. 2009-2010 Fiscal Year Purchasing Cut-Off Dates
Please note that in order to process purchase requisitions for the current fiscal year, the College will adhere to the following cut-off dates:
April 30, 2010: All 2009-2010 purchase requisitions for merchandise and services must be entered into the EPS (E-Procurement System). Purchases and payments related to pre-approved travel expenditures and/or pre-approved imprest fund reimbursements are exempted from this cutoff date.
June 15, 2010: All Staples orders must be entered online, after which all Staples accounts will be closed until the commencement of the new fiscal year on July 1, 2010.
The University’s 2009-2010 fiscal year ends June 30, 2010. All goods and services to be paid from this fiscal-year budget must be received at the College by the June 30th deadline.
Baruch Table Tennis Team Ranks #13 in the Nation

After an exciting weekend at the 2010 College Table Tennis Championships in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the Baruch College table tennis team's final standings placed them in the number 13 spot out of 24. For the full list of results, please click here.
Four Basketball Players Named Metro All-Stars

Four players from the Baruch College men’s and women’s basketball teams were named M.B.W.A//N.I.T. All-Stars at a dinner last Wednesday night in Tarrytown, New York. This year, Monique Salmon and Kalea Davis of the women’s basketball team were named All-Stars for the second consecutive year. On the men’s side, George Kunkel and Lionel Hilaire were each named All-Stars for their outstanding season in helping lead the Bearcats to the ECAC Metro Championship. Get the full story.

No-Fee Customer Service Training
Continuing and Professional Studies and the Office of Human Resources are pleased to announce no-fee customer service training for Baruch College employees. Each one-day session is scheduled from10:00 am – 4:00 pm on the 14th Floor of the Vertical Campus. Customer Service training sessions are available March - June 2010 as follows:

Description: An experiential workshop that covers internal and external customer service, utilizing role-plays and participants' real life examples to enhance learning. Any staff member whose position requires using customer service skills is welcome to attend (i.e. student services staff, custodial staff, public safety staff, etc.).
