Admission Process, Enrollment Requirements and Deadlines
Freshman
Requirements
Students who have never attended college should complete an
Undergraduate Freshman Application for Admission on which
they indicate Baruch College as their first choice. The application
requires an official high school transcript (or GED scores
and diploma) and a $65 application fee. We suggest students
complete a minimum of 4 years on English, 4 years of social
studies, 3 years of mathematics, 2 years of foreign language,
2 years of lab science and 1 year of visual arts. Students
who meet these criteria will be admitted based on their overall
high school academic background and SAT/ACT test scores. All freshmen
coming directly from U.S. high schools are required to take
the SAT/ACT. Students with a GED over 3000 will be considered
provided that they have satisfactorily completed the required
high school units. Students who have previously attended a
college or post secondary institution are considered transfers.
Transfer
Requirements
Students who have attended college(s) or post secondary institution(s)
should complete an Undergraduate Transfer Application for
Admission on which they indicate Baruch College as their first
choice. The application requires an official transcript from
each institution attended and a $70 application fee (if applicable).
Transfer applicants will be screened initially on cumulative
GPA of all institutions attended and academic history. Students
who have earned less than 24 credits will also be evaluated
on their high school performance.
TOEFL
Requirements
Citizens of countries where the native language is not English
and whose secondary and post secondary education were not
in English are required to take the TOEFL exam.
