Baruch College

Undergraduate Admissions

Welcome

Baruch College is part of a New York City tradition that dates back more than 160 years to the founding of the Free Academy in 1847, the first institution of free public higher education in the nation. Established as City College's School of Business and Civic Administration in 1919, the school was renamed in honor of Bernard M. Baruch - statesman, financier, and alumnus. In 1968, Baruch became an independent senior college in the City University of New York (CUNY) system.

Located at 24th Street and Lexington Avenue, Baruch College is in the heart of New York City. 12,700 undergraduates take classes in three schools: the School of Public Affairs, the Weissman School of Arts and Science, and the Zicklin School of Business. Baruch offers 30 majors and 62 minors in business, liberal arts and sciences and public affairs.
