DIRECTIONS FOR STUDENTS WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS:

Use the links on this page to launch the tutorial, go to relevant web sites with helpful CPE information, or - if necessary - to download the latest version of Flash software. The web pages on this page are highly recommended as a supplement to the tutorial. Once you are ready to start the tutorial, follow the following four steps in sequence to play the tutorial in Internet Explorer:

1. Select the link entitled "Click here to enter the tutorial."

2. Turn off your text reader.

3. Press the tab key.

4. Use the right and left arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate through the tutorial page-by-page.

Task 1 Writing Guide
The writing guide gives advice on organizing your essay, using proper grammar and punctuation, quoting, and working with the readings. It also contains a list of commonly misused and misspelled words.

Task 1 Sample Reading Selections
This web site includes long and short reading selections (and the corresponding Task 1 directions) from a previous CPE.

Task 1 Grading Chart
This official Task 1 grading chart will explain how your Task 1 essay will be graded.

Task 2 Online Practice
Use this online form to complete a practice Task 2, which will be graded and emailed back to you.
