The Baruch College SEEK Transfer Division is dedicated to making the transition from your previous college to Baruch as smooth as possible. A variety of services are available to ensure that your experience here will be successful and rewarding.
The Transfer Experience
Transferring from one school to another can be difficult and intimidating-- all over again, you must adjust to a new environment and community. However, because you are transferring from another special program to SEEK, you will find that there are many resources to help the process run smoothly.
Please consider the recommendations below as you begin the transfer process. Be advised that this list highlights the basic procedures and is not all-inclusive. Your school may have special transfer requirements.
- See your counselor and discuss transfer procedures.
- Fill out the CUNY Transfer application.
- Make sure to submit the Counselor Recommendation Form.
- Complete the Transfer Financial Aid Form.
- Once you receive an acceptance letter from Baruch, respond as soon as possible.
- Attend the Baruch College Transfer Orientation Program. You will be notified of the details by mail. If you do not attend one of the sessions, you will not be allowed to register.
- Once school starts, see your SEEK Counselor as soon as possible and thereafter on a regular basis. If you fail to meet with your SEEK Counselor, you will not be able to register.

Transfer Credits
Credits earned at another college and transferred to Baruch are evaluated by the Registrar's Office.
Be aware of the following:
- Credit is only accepted for courses taken at institutions that are recognized by one of the regional accrediting commissions.
- Evaluation of your transfer credits usually takes a few months.
- You are required to speak with your SEEK counselor, who can help you register for classes.
- If you are transferring from a four-year school, a maximum of 90 credits can be transferred and applied to a BA or BS degree. Up to 93 credits can be transferred to a BBA degree.
- A maximum of 70 credits can be transferred from a two-year college.
