Academic Advisement

Baruch College Residence Life

As the academic year winds down, we hope you all have had a successful year! Everyone is sure to be busy preparing for finals and summer break.

Residents are to schedule a date and time to physically check out of their room with their RA at least 24 hours before checkout. There is also an Express Check-out form that can be completed in case the RA is not available during the time the resident leaving. Please see your RA to obtain an Express Check-out form or from the Baruch Residence Life office (Lobby floor of residence hall).

Extension Requests
If there are extenuating circumstances that affect your departure date, you must email Residence Life Coordinator, Amanda Pryor. All requests will be reviewed and either approved or denied. Students transitioning into their summer housing assignments will stay in their current rooms until notified by Housing Services of when to move to their summer assignment.

Prep your room for Check-Out
Before leaving, all furniture must be arranged in move-in condition and rooms completely clean and free of all personal belongings and trash, without exception. All desk and dresser drawers should be empty and wiped clean with a damp towel. All personally constructed lofts must be taken apart and removed from the residence hall and brought to the nearest dumpsite area if being thrown away. Items left in rooms will be discarded.

Residents are responsible for all damages incurred to their room and/or public spaces. This includes damage to furniture in the rooms or public spaces.

Key Return
Residents must return both ID keycard and mailroom key. Failure to return your keys will result in a $20 charge for each key. Do not return keys to security or leave with your roommate.
