Traveling after reinstatement
After the reistatement got approved, student traveling outside of US has to apply for new visa at US Embassy in student's home country in order to be able to reenter the US.
Traveling after long absence
Student staying 5 months or longer out of the US has to apply for new SEVIS I-20 and F-1 visa at the US Embassy in order to be able to reenter the US.
