Peer Mentor Training Retreat 2011
The Office of Student Life and the Office of Orientation and First Year Programs worked together to take 60 Peer Mentors on a action packed and enriched filled retreat on April 8 and April 9.
The Peer Mentor Training Retreat provides strength building, skill training, and group dynamics training to the incoming group of Peer Leaders that will be managing the summer 2011 Orientation Day: Making the Baruch Connection program and the Freshman Seminar program. The training took place off-campus to provide for enhanced relational building opportunity that comes with being in a new and focused environment.
The Leadership Retreat is required for all new and returning Executive Freshman Seminar Peer Mentors, Freshman Seminar Peer Mentors, and Orientation Leaders. Each of these students has completed the application and interview process for entry into TEAM BARUCH and the interview process for their specific leadership position. 60 students leaders and 6 full-time Student Affairs staff will be in attendance.
