FINANCIAL AID

www.baruch.cuny.edu/financialaid

Financial Aid is available in the form of grants, loans, and work-study opportunities. The College urges students to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and New York State residents, to complete a TAP application.

When completing the FAFSA, Baruch’s federal college code is 007372. Information reported on the FAFSA will be used to calculate eligibility for the Pell, ACG, and SMART grants as well as federal college work study, SEOG and federal William D Ford Direct and Perkins student loans. The links to access the on-line application and to apply for the PIN which will allow you, and if applicable, your parent to sign the application electronically, are available in the Financial Aid section of Baruch’s website. Once you have electronically submitted the FAFSA, you may complete the on-line TAP application. The TAP application must be completed to be considered for New York State aid (TAP and APTS).

Students who are accepted into the Honors College are required to file both the FAFSA and TAP applications. New York City residents who have been awarded a Peter Vallone Scholarship based on their high school record are also required to file a FAFSA. If a Vallone Scholar or Honors College student is unable to file a FAFSA due to their residency status, they should come in to the Financial Aid Office to meet with a counselor. Students who wish to be considered for Baruch Student Employment must also complete a FAFSA before being placed.
