TIME & PLACE
Baruch College will hold its Forty-Third Commencement Exercises
on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Madison
Square Garden (MSG), on Seventh Avenue at W. 32nd Street. We have requested
the main Arena to enable us
to hold one combined undergraduate and graduate ceremony at 11:00
a.m. This will assure an adequate number of guest tickets for
all graduates. The use of the Arena depends upon whether the
New York Knicks or the New York Rangers are in their respective
playoffs or whether there will be a major concert event. That
will not be decided until later this Spring.
CONFIRMED: In the alternative, we are making plans for two complete commencement
ceremonies, with both undergraduates and graduates at each, in
The Theater at Madison Square Garden. The morning
ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. and the afternoon ceremony
will take place at 3:30 p.m. Each candidate for degree will
be given the opportunity to attend the ceremony of their choice
on a first come, first served basis until maximum seating capacity
has been met at each ceremony. Graduates will be notified of
the ceremony that they will attend together with final instructions
at the time of Cap & Gown and Ticket Distribution in May.
CAPS & GOWNS
Participants in the Commencement Exercises must wear appropriate
academic attire. To make necessary arrangements for the cap,
gown and hood, please complete the appropriate cap
& gown order/ticket request form.
STUDENTS: Be sure to indicate which degree you are receiving
(Undergrads - BA, BBA or BS; Grads - MA, MBA, MPA, MS, etc.).
Measure your height while wearing heels of the same height that
you will wear to the exercises.
The entire academic attire is yours to keep. If for any reason
you choose not to attend the ceremony, you may make a
written request for a refund by May 16, 2008. (Note:
No refunds will be issued after commencement. Caps and Gowns
that are not picked up are returned to the manufacturer on the
day of commencement.)
