The Office of Student Life is pleased to announce that we have a
total of 559 extra tickets left to distribute!

16 lower level and
543 upper level
unclaimed and/or returned commencement tickets.

Distribution of these tickets will begin at 10am in NVC 1-107 (Multipurpose Room).  Due to the limited number of tickets, we will only be able to distribute one ticket per person at a time.  Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.  Upon receiving a ticket you may go to the back of the line and repeat this process as many times as you like until all tickets are gone.

Someone may pick up a ticket on your behalf but they must come with a printed and signed letter of permission from you along with a copy of your photo ID (see detailed instructions below)

Congratulations on your graduation! Please read the following information carefully as it pertains to your tickets for Commencement.

Please pick up your guest tickets on May 23rd or May 24th, 11:00 AM-7:00 PM. Tickets not picked up by 7:00 PM on May 24th will be redistributed and given to students requesting extra tickets on May 25th.

To have someone pick up on your behalf:

  1. Please give the person picking up your tickets a printed letter that states your name, their name, and what they have permission to pick up on your behalf (cap and gown, guest tickets, yearbook).
E.g. “I, Jane Doe, give John Smith permission to pick up my cap and gown and guest tickets.”
  2. You must sign the note, and attach a copy of your CUNY ID card or some other official photo ID.
  3. The person picking up must also have some form of photo ID.
  4. We will only accept hard copies of letters; letters scanned or on a mobile device will not be accepted.

Please contact the Office of Student Life if you have any questions.

You must file an Application for Degree form with the Registrar's Office by Friday, March 4, 2016 to be eligible to graduate and for your name to appear in the Commencement program. Only an official notification from the Registrar's Office should be accepted as a definitive statement of graduation. Receipt of a commencement letter from Student Life does not signify that you have fulfilled all your academic requirements and does not indicate that you are eligible to graduate.
