STUDENT CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS RESOURCES

FORMING A NEW CLUB

There are approximately 100 recognized student clubs on campus. Any student club wanting official recognition at Baruch College is required to register with the Office of Student Life and be chartered by the appropriate Student Government.

If you are interested in forming a new student club, come to the Office of Student Life to discuss your ideas for your student club with a staff member. You will be given a registration kit that contains everything you need to get started as well as helpful information and tips.

Please download the New Club Registration and Budget Approval Process flowchart for an overview of the entire new club formation process.

As you will find in the registration kit, there are requirements for your new club that must be returned for approval:

We strongly suggest that each club select a faculty advisor. Faculty advisors can provide significant contributions to student clubs. Their expertise and experience can be of valuable assistance in planning your club activities.

Information about all these items is included in the registration kit in the Office of Student Life.

After you have all the completed documents, submit them to the Office of Student Life. We will review them and make any suggestions we think you may find helpful.

Once the registration process has been completed you will receive a new club letter informing of all your entitlements as a new club.

If you have any questions, please feel free to stop by the Office of Student Life, Room 2-210 (Newman Vertical Campus).
