You’ve seen it in the movies. You’ve read about in books. It is time to experience New York City for yourself. Students at the Academy are fully immersed in the culture and vibrancy of New York City while residing in Manhattan amongst other Academy students at our state-of-the-art facilities located on the chic Upper East Side. The Academy lectures take place in the heart of Manhattan at Baruch College, an internationally renowned school of the City University of New York system. Academy students live New York City to the fullest by exploring New York’s most noted celebrity hot spots such as Times Square, Broadway, and Wall Street. The Residence at 97th Street provides students with outstanding views of Central Park, 24-hour security, and fully furnished rooms with private bathrooms, and access to a 24-hour gym, a library, study rooms, and an Internet lounge. Residential students will also be provided with meals seven days a week.
While living in New York City, students at the Academy will have the opportunity to develop interest in various areas of global economics such as wealth management, international business principles, mergers and acquisitions, stocks, public finance, investment banking, management of multinational corporations, and international markets. Renowned faculty of Baruch College will provide students with a foundation of business knowledge through in-depth lectures, group led discussions, and qualitative and quantitative analysis of international business markets and theory. Students will hear from current business professionals who will educate them about their areas of expertise as well as provide them with the skills that they need to succeed in the industry.
The Baruch Academy strives to teach students through experiential learning. It’s ideal location in a global center for economics allows students to truly explore the financial hub to the fullest degree. The Academy students travel to the world famous Wall Street and the Financial District where they will tour the New York Stock Exchange, visit the Federal Reserve Bank, and shadow financial experts at various international banks and corporations. While exploring these locations, students will make valuable connections with business professionals and leading scholars.
