internships

We encourage both undergraduate and graduate students to broaden their exposure to public service and nonprofit organizations through federal, state and city government agency internships.

These programs can facilitate the attainment of critical skills, exploration of policy issues, and expansion of professional networks and career opportunities.

Many of our students have recently been awarded fellowships and internships with the following agencies:

  • The City Hall Internship (for undergraduate students) involves weekly seminar attendance, and weekly work in the office of a New York City Council member to learn about the legislative process and obtain a unique perspective on community issues.
  • The Hagedorn Internship (for undergraduate students) involves weekly seminar attendance, and weekly work at nonprofit organizations.
