Biography
Sanders Korenman, an economist, has been a member of the SPA faculty since 1996. In 1997-98 he served as Senior Economist for labor, welfare, and education for President Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisers. He has been a member of the Board on Children, Youth, and Families of the National Academy of Sciences since 1998, and is a currently a member of the Academy’s Committee on Family and Work Policies. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Current research includes studies of the effect of welfare reform on marriage and fertility, and the socioeconomic effects of the attack on the World Trade Center.
