Emerging Leaders Program
Our objective is to take emerging leaders to new levels in their professional development and within their organizations through unique customized executive education programs.
Our programs are staffed by a team of energetic professionals – academic faculty and practitioners – dedicated to providing participants and sponsoring organizations with the highest standard of service. Our staff works with the sponsoring organizations to tailor programs to their needs, shaping curriculum design and delivery in a wide range of formats.
New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) + School of Public Affairs
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
Objective: Provide the conceptual and practical skills needed to better analyze, manage, and evaluate effective public sector programs while fostering personal and professional growth
Participants: Mid-level managers
Duration: 15 weeks, full-day sessions once a week including one capstone session
Teaching Areas: Housing policy, management and leadership, budgeting and finance, Communications, intergovernmental relations, professional development, strategic planning, performance measurement, and customer service excellence.
Outcome: Developed understanding and ability to effectively manage and lead in the public
EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Objective: Provide rigorous training and in-depth experience in leadership and management
Participants: Senior managers
Duration: 1 week, 7 full-day sessions
Teaching Areas: Adaptive leadership strategies, NYCHA leadership challenges and context, goal setting, problem solving, strategic planning, finance, communications, organizational culture, and customer service excellence
Outcome: Strengthened ability to lead and manage change within NYCHA and any governmental or large nonprofit organization
