LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

Health and Hospitals Corporation Program

The Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC) Program is designed to give participants the theoretical and practical understanding necessary to create effective cross-disciplinary teams, knowledgeable about the contexts in which decisions about health care delivery and finance are made, as well as best practices in institutional communication, team building, strategic planning, change management, and program evaluation. A key goal of the program is to provide participants with conceptual and practical tools for managing staff and delivering high quality health care in culturally, racially, and ethnically diverse environments. Participants will emerge from this program with a better awareness of Corporation-wide needs and practices, a better sense of the placement of the Corporation in the context of health care delivery overall, improved abilities to identify and plan to meet institutional needs, improved capacity to work together in and to nurture task-oriented teams, improved capacity for effective institutional communication, the ability to explain anticipated programmatic impact to an audience of decision makers, and direct experience identifying, researching, solving, and selling a proposed institutional policy leading to improved health outcomes.
