Emerging Leaders Program
Our objective is to take emerging leaders to new levels in their professional development and within their organizations through unique customized executive education programs.
Our programs are staffed by a team of energetic professionals – academic faculty and practitioners – dedicated to providing participants and sponsoring organizations with the highest standard of service. Our staff works with the sponsoring organizations to tailor programs to their needs, shaping curriculum design and delivery in a wide range of formats.
Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) + School of Public Affairs
HEALTHCARE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
Objective: Enhance the abilities of outstanding minority professionals within
GNYHA to become innovative leaders in the health care industry.
Participants: Mid-level managers
Duration: 15 months, half-day sessions once a month plus one capstone week
Teaching Areas: Healthcare finance, quality improvement, cultural literacy, communications, strategic planning, leadership and management, use of data to improve health outcomes, quality improvement, managing change, performance measurement and outcomes evaluation
Outcome: The creation of a community and a network of talented professionals who are qualified to lead at the executive level in hospitals and hospital systems
