We "highly" recommend students live in the campus residences to experience the vibrant social life on campus, as well as save money on transportation and commuting time. All of the residences are connected to campus buildings by underground tunnel -- a great advantage during rainy, cold or snowy days. There is a great residence for our incoming exchange students. The 5th and 6th floor of the Leeds Residence is reserved exclusively for graduate students. This apartment style residence has a fridge, burner stove stop and is exempt from the meal plan unless you would like to receive it.General Residence link (please note that there is an option to have a meal plan). Click here for more information about the Leeds Residence and here for other on-campus residential options.
Many exchange students have opted to rent housing in the surrounding community. Living in the community is approximately $400-$800 and may or may not include utilities (i.e. gas, electricity, internet, telephone). To see current listings please visit: http://www2.carleton.ca/housing/off-campus-housing/off-campus-accommodation-listings/
Please be aware of the distance from campus and access to public transit if considering offsite housing.
