GRADUATE DEGREES

Policy Analysis and Evaluation

As an MPA student in our Policy Analysis and Evaluation track, you will learn how information from evaluations based on sound methodology can be used to improve the policymaking process.

Our curriculum integrates economics, political science, population studies, and sociology and combines that knowledge with extensive coursework in quantitative and qualitative approaches to policy analysis. You'll develop research skills and all important communication skills.

In addition to pursuing further graduate study, many students who focus on policy analysis and evaluation pursue careers in government, think tanks, and as program evaluators in nonprofit organizations. Some recent examples of other positions taken by our students include: Coordinator of City Government Programs at Baruch College - School of Public Affairs; Program Coordinator for the Division of Voluntary Initiatives at the United Hospital Fund; Development Associate for Partnership with Children; Associate Education Analyst for the Board of Education; Staff Auditor for the NYC Office of Management and Budget; Associate Staff Analyst for the NYC Department of Sanitation; Bureau of Waste Prevention; Reuse and Recycling; and Director of Marketing and Program Promotion for CAMBA, the Church Avenue Merchants Block Association, Inc.
