Aspiring Principals Program
Through a partnership with the NYC Leadership Academy, the School of Public Affairs is pleased to offer the Aspiring Principals Program (APP). The NYC Leadership Academy is a centerpiece of the Department of Education's system-wide effort to create more effective New York City public schools. APP is a rigorous 15-month leadership development program for future school leaders, which will utilize problem-based, experiential learning and will provide candidate with strong leadership development and a one-year residency in a New York City public school under the guidance of an experienced mentor principal. Participants earn 24 credits from Baruch College to use towards the SBL certificate.
