Launched in December 2003 as an initiative of the Bridgespan Group, Bridgestar was founded on the premise that mission-focused nonprofits have greater opportunity to achieve breakthrough results when they attract, assemble and nurture strong board and senior leadership teams. We seek to be a source of talent for individual nonprofit organizations, as well as a resource for enhancing the flow and effectiveness of capable executives into and within the sector. For jobs and career changes, the Bridgestar online job board lists senior management positions in nonprofit organizations throughout the United States. Use the job board and our document management tools to create and store resumes and cover letters, and to apply for positions that meet your skills and qualifications. | |

The School of Public Affairs Career Services Office & the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of New York City (YNPN-NYC)
Have you ever daydreamed about dropping everything, packing a bag, and heading off to exotic lands? How would traveling change your outlook on the world? How would it change your life?
YNPN-NYC and the Baruch College School of Public Affairs are pleased to present "A Conversation with Rita Golden Gelman." In her book, Tales of a Female Nomad, Ms. Gelman shares stories of her experiences as a solo traveler, crisscrossing the globe and residing in communities in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Israel, the Galapagos Islands, Mexico, Bali, and Fiji, to name a few. On May 8th, Ms Gelman will be in NYC for one night only to speak about how traveling and interacting with a global community can help you become a more well-rounded nonprofit professional. She’ll be sharing her own travel stories and discussing her book as well.
If you would like to purchase the book, it is available online here. Major booksellers, such as Borders and Barnes and Nobles, stock it as well. The book will also be available for purchase at the event, and Ms Gelman will be signing copies after her talk. For more information about the author, visit: www.ritagoldengelman.com.
