Hispanic Federation

Hispanic Leadership Institute
Baruch College's School of Public Affairs and the Hispanic Federation have collaborated to provide managers a way to develop their leadership skills with a blend of theory and practice. The Hispanic Leadership Institute (HLI) prepares participants to become leaders in the nonprofit sector. The leadership development curriculum, led by an array of faculty members and practitioners, takes place during eight full-day sessions over three months. The next series of HLI classes begins in the Spring Semester 2008.

-  The Nonprofit Sector with particular focus on Latino community-based organizations
-  Management and Leadership
-  Project Planning
-  Program Evaluation
-  Budget and Contract Management
-  Communication and Advocacy
-  Organizational and Self-Change/Conducting Special Events
-  Fundraising
-  Capstone
