Ethics as a Minor
Students majoring in fields ranging from the liberal arts, to business, to law, and throughout media and the sciences, have become increasingly aware of the importance, relevance, and need for an understanding of the ethical issues and concerns of both their fields and the world around them. The Department of Philosophy at Weissman is happy to offer students the opportunity to specialize in this essential area of knowledge and thinking. Available courses in ethics run the gamut from religion to the economy to the environment and beyond.
The ethics Tier III minor requires 9 credits: two 3000-level courses in Ethical Philosophy (PHI 3050, 3055, 3200, 3210) and one capstone course PHI 4900 Topics in Value Theory.
