General Information

The SEEK Program (Search for Education, Elevation and Knowledge) offers a unique and supportive educational opportunity to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, many of whom have had inadequate academic preparation for college-level coursework.

SEEK was designed to assist students with the intellectual potential to succeed in college who lack the educational foundation and economic resources necessary to pursue a degree.

For detailed information on what the SEEK program offers, please see SEEK for Freshmen or SEEK for Transfer Students.

SEEK at Baruch College Today: Is it right for you?

As Baruch has raised its admissions standards, the SEEK Program has become increasingly competitive as well.  It is more difficult to be accepted to the SEEK Program at Baruch than it is to get into many of the other senior CUNY schools as a non-SEEK student.  Nonetheless, the program recognizes that the achievements of incoming students do not yet reflect their ability.

SEEK students at Baruch receive individual attention and support in a variety of capacities: counseling, freshmen seminars, tutoring, supplemental instruction and financial aid.
