* All nondegree, permit and reentry applications must be submitted to the Registrar's Office by the application due date. All permit and Nondegree students will be able to register online once their applications are processed. Application processing time is 3-4 business days. (Late registration will only be available at the Registrar's Office, 151 E 25th Street, Room 850.)

Nondegree/Permit/Re-entry Application Deadline:

Please do not FAX any applications (Permit, Nondegree, Re-Entry). Faxed applications will not be accepted.         

  • Summer 2008                            Session I: Wednesday, May, 28                                                     Session II:Tuesday, July 1
    ePermit system availability for Session I: April 1 - May 30
                                               Session II: April 1 - July 3

  • Fall 2008                                       Friday, August 22
    ePermit system will be available from May 1 to August 27
    Note: All permit and Nondegree students will be able to register online once their applications are processed. Application processing time is 3-4 business days.    

Applications and Instructions:

  • Undergraduate Non-CUNY Visiting Permit, Nondegree and Post Baccalaureate Students
    To be used by students who are visiting from another college with permission from home institution
    or
    To be used by students who do not have a Bachelor's degree and are not enrolled at another college
    or
    To be used by students who have a Baccalaureate degree
  • Graduate Non-CUNY Visiting Permit Students
    To be used by graduate students who are visiting from another Non-CUNY college with permission from home institution

Applicants must submit the required non-refundable application fee (Undergraduate $65.00 and Graduate $125.00) along with other required documents and application. Applications without required documents will not be processed.

  • CUNY Visiting Permit Students (Graduate & Undergraduate)
    To be used by students who are visiting from another CUNY college with permission from home institution

Through e-Permit, students can file an online request and it will be processed online. Students are kept informed of the progress of their permit request throughout the approval process. If a request is rejected, a student will be notified via email including the reason of the rejection.
To access e-Permit, students should go to the CUNY homepage (http://www.cuny.edu) and click the “Log In” button at the left. Once on the University Home Page, students initially will have to register for a Portal ID and Password, by clicking on “Register” and following the directions. Once registered and logged in, students will find themselves on their own “My Page,” that has a link to the e-Permit system prominently displayed.
