Real Estate Industry Research
The Institute pursues applied research on issues critical to the real estate industry and the formulation of public policy. Interdisciplinary approaches are a hallmark of our work. Researchers are experts from within CUNY, other leading universities, and the real estate industry. We share our research findings through publications and public events.
Our future research agenda will be shaped in part by our newly formed Research Roundtable, an informal advisory group whose members are industry leaders drawn from sectors that include real estate development and management, finance and capital markets, brokerage, economics, sustainability, urban planning, and public policy. This broad-spectrum representation will help ensure that, in a time of dramatic change within the industry, our agenda remains responsive to, and anticipates, real-world needs.
We welcome support for research projects from foundations, government agencies, and corporations, and we invite suggestions for projects and for sources of support. To explore opportunities, please contact:
