Sean O’Brien has spent his entire professional career in the field of real estate finance, having worked in CMBS structuring and issuance at Nomura Securities International, Inc, hedge fund advisory at the Bank of New York, and in his current position as the Chief Investment Officer at The Woodlark Companies, a privately held real estate vehicle that owns and operates off campus student housing properties nationwide.
Mr. O’Brien holds a B.S. degree in Policy Analysis & Management from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. degree in Finance from the Jacobs School of Management at the University at Buffalo.
Mr. O’Brien is a member of the Young Real Estate Professional of New York (YREP), the New York Private Equity Network (NYPEN), and the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC). He is also the Treasurer of his condominium Board of Managers and a resident of Manhattan.
