Ms. Brown is currently the LEED coordinator for the Retail Construction Project at the World Trade Center which is registered to achieve LEED Gold. She was the LEED sub-consultant for the Brooklyn Navy Yard Multi-Tenant LEED Core and Shell building which achieved LEED Gold. She has also taught Sustainable Construction at the Cooper Union and Construction Management at La Guardia Community College. She has been teaching Green Building classes at Steven L. Newman Institute for two years.
Kay is particularly interested in alternative energy and zero energy off grid projects. She is British and has been involved in innovative sustainable construction projects in London and has been part of the UK green building movement for many years.
Ms. Brown is a LEED AP with a Bachelor’s with Honors in Building Surveying from South Bank University in London. She holds a Masters in Construction Management from New York University.
